While Gaga and Starlight were busy performing, Gaga was working independently on songs of her own with two producers and was signed to a subsidiary of Interscope Records in 2007. Gaga was hired to write songs for Britney Spears, Fergie and The Pussycat Dolls. By the end of 2007 Gaga had her first record deal, having relocated to Los Angeles. Her first album was released in 2008.
